Day of Pink was born in Nova Scotia when a grade nine boy was bullied because he wore a pink shirt to school.  His fellow students decided to stand up to bullying:  they took to social media, spread their message, and hundreds of students came to school wearing pink to show support for diversity, stopping discrimination, bullying and homophobia.  As a result of this event, International Day of Pink was created.
Make sure you stop by our Anti-Bullying fundraiser in the foyer today at lunch to buy a pink smile cookie or just donate some change and help us raise money for BullyingCanada.ca. Canada's first ever youth lead anti-bullying site.
