My time at Nelson High school meant a lot to me. It wasn’t just about the classes—it was the community, culture and people who believed in me. This community gave me the opportunity to grow academically with the support of amazing teachers, athletically with the support of the best coaches, and in leadership from fellow students. After my time at Nelson, I spent four amazing years at Syracuse University playing hockey, then my life changed. I took on rowing at 21 years old, and represented Canada at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where I was the spare for the silver medal 8. Nelson prepared me for more than just the things I expected, but also taught me to embrace the unexpected journeys, and always believe in myself while pushing others along the way!
