Celebrating Black History Month: On the morning of March 21, 2025 (rescheduled from the February 13 snow day), we will host two school-wide assemblies featuring Halton Black Voices. The speakers, Braxton Dinh-Wignall and Iwi Eghobamien, will share their personal stories as Black coaches and mentors. They will also explore the rich history and significance of Black History Month as it pertains to Canada. Topics will include the ongoing fight against anti-Black racism, the importance of Black Student Unions in schools, and actionable steps students can take to combat discrimination. We look forward to engaging our students in a thoughtful presentation to foster a deeper understanding of these crucial issues.
Semi-formal - Wednesday, March 5
We have had to reschedule our semi-formal dance due to the recent weather. The new date for the dance is Wednesday, March 5th. The event will still be held at the newly renovated Holiday Inn Burlington. Tickets are still available for sale. We will be stopping the sale of tickets on March 3rd, two days before the dance. Tickets can only be purchased on the Cashless system.
Once you have purchased a ticket, students are asked to complete this form which outlines the terms and conditions. Please note that the form must be completed by the student, using their HDSB account. The form also requires the student to upload a signed copy of this contract. Both the purchase and this form are required prior to students receiving their ticket.
We are looking forward to another fun and successful dance. Thank you for supporting this Student Council initiative!
